About the Positions
ATS Traffic Edmonton is looking for seasonal employees to join our team for the 2020 season! Do you enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather? Are you motivated, hardworking and looking for your new opportunity?
If so, consider joining ATS Traffic’s On-Street Services department as a Flagger, Traffic Technician or Installer!
Directs traffic and ensures safety on the roads. They signal vehicles when to slow down, stop, and when safe to proceed.
Conducting traffic control around cities, construction sites and major events such as music festivals or sporting events. Traffic Technicians design safe lane closures and traffic detours with physical setup and removal of devices such as barricades, pylons, signage and digital messaging boards.
Primarily responsible for installation of traffic and construction safety products as signs, posts, parking curbs, speed bumps, solar beacons, crash systems and guardrails. Ability to read blueprints and maps is a definite asset, as well as working independently. Previous experience operating a skid steer and/or towing trailers is an asset.
- A valid (non-graduated) Class 5 driver’s license and clean driving abstract is required for Traffic Technician and Installer positions. For Flagging roles it is an asset.
- Own method of transportation to get to and from work is required.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Ability to successfully pass a Fit Test including lifting between 50 and 75 pounds.
- Experience in either Traffic Control or Construction industries is an asset.
Group interviews are anticipated to take place the first two weeks of March 2020. New employee orientation is anticipated for March 23, 2020. Company-paid training and certifications will take place the last week of March, new employees will begin work April 1, 2020.
