ATS Traffic Edmonton is looking for a CNC Operator who will be responsible for producing machined parts by setting up, and operating a computer numerical control Bit Router (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.


This position will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following job duties:

Plans machining by studying work orders, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions.

Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.

Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

Identify and troubleshoot machine problems.

This individual maybe require to train an individual (s) on the machine’s operation for the purpose of coverage in the event of an absence.



CNC experience is a must (1-2 years)

Must have experience using a Bit Router Multicam machine using Enroute & Sigmanest Software

CNC Certificate or formal training is an asset

Ability to read basic G-code (programming code) an asset
