ATS Traffic Edmonton is looking for an Installer to join their Installations team. The Installer will be primarily responsible for all Installations for the Edmonton region including signs, legends, posts, parking blocks in parking lots, speed bumps & humps, solar beacons, speed readers, crash systems, Foamcore (signs constructed from biodegradable foam) products, Guardrail, cable guard, barrier guard and ground mounts as per the customer’s specifications. In addition to signage on the roads an ATS Installer is also responsible for installing signage in residential areas such as condo developments and in commercial areas such as mall parking lots.

An ATS Installer is also a customer service and public relations representative of ATS Traffic in the field, and they are vital to ensuring the safety for all road users in the pursuit of Vision Zero.

Please note that this position is expected to end on or before November 1, 2018.


This position will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following job duties:

Install required products in a safe, professional and timely manner

Advise customers on their Installation needs and recommend additional products or services

Promote new and existing product offerings

Handle sales leads and forward to the appropriate salesperson

Generate revenue from Installations and Rentals

Maintain installation equipment, install truck and associated inventories

Co-ordinate line locates and attendance when required

Co-ordinate Installations with customer

Assist with quoting for jobs when required

Inventory control

Assist other areas in the On-Street Services department when required including Flagging

Complete and maintain accurate paperwork for billing purposes



High School Diploma

Experience in the Traffic Industry is an asset

Previous sign installation experience is an asset

Flagging and Traffic Control experience is an asset

Experience with a Skid Steer with an auger and a Picker truck is an asset

Technical aptitude and mechanically inclined

Must have a valid (non-graduated) class 5 driver’s licence and clean driving abstract

Must have own vehicle to get to and from work

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening & Functional Fitness Evaluation

Must be able to lift 75 pounds

Must be able and willing to work overtime when required including evenings & weekend

Must be able and willing to work out of town when required
