ATS Traffic to Host Tech Tour and VR Experience at Next Week’s ITS Canada 2026 Conference

Edmonton, AB – May 15, 2026 – ATS Traffic is pleased to announce that they will be an Executive Sponsor of ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) Canada’s Annual Conference and Exhibition, running from May 20 – 22 at Delta Hotels Edmonton South Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

ITS Canada brings together professionals and organizations spanning municipal leadership, the transportation industry, academic research, and policy development, united by a shared mission to advance innovation for safer communities.

As an Executive Sponsor of this year’s ITS Canada conference, ATS Traffic continues to demonstrate its leadership and commitment to continuous improvement in the traffic safety industry. Through its partnership with ITS Canada, ATS Traffic has supported local planning efforts and will ensure conference attendees enjoy a welcoming and engaging experience in the company’s home city of Edmonton.

“At ATS Traffic, we know that the future of safer roads lies in technological innovation,” said Bobby Cantera, CEO of ATS Traffic. “Our sponsorship of the 2026 ITS Canada Conference reflects our commitment to  advancing traffic safety and creating data driven solutions that help keep people safe.”

As part of the conference program, ATS Traffic’s national headquarters in Edmonton will serve as a Technical Tour Stop. This exclusive tour will allow guests to discover ATS Traffic’s expansive warehouse operations, signage manufacturing and fabrication facility, and ITS deployment workflows. Visitors will also get to experience live demonstrations of smart work zone technology, connected work zone concepts and reflect on the triumphs of innovation while observing the evolution of work zones.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive History of the Work Zone Exhibit at ATS Traffic’s on-site booth.

The History of the Work Zone Exhibit is a museum-style display showcasing the transformation of work zone safety technology across the decades through a virtual reality experience. From the flare pots of the 1960s to modern Smart Work Zones and beyond, this experience brings traffic safety evolution to life through immersive visuals featuring real work zone equipment, and an educational VR experience. The History of the Work Zone will allow attendants to see where our modern work zones came from, and where they are headed.

As ATS Traffic celebrates their 60th year as traffic safety technology leaders in Canada, they remain deeply committed to supporting organizational partners and individuals who share the same mission of getting people home safely.
